How to arrange a courier for your found item

Our easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide will take you through the courier process in minutes.

STEP 1:

Navigate to your account and open the courier form by clicking the “request a courier button”. Enter the necessary details about your package like collection and delivery addresses.

STEP 2:

This is the most important step in the process. You need to liaise with the finder of your item using the contact details provided to you and establish a pick-up location address, date and time frame.

Provide an accurate and detailed pick-up address to ensure our courier can locate it and easily collect the package.

It is important that you provide the finder’s e-mail address and a daytime phone number of the finder of your item in case there are any problems or difficulties with the pickup.

In this step you must also enter your personal details and the address of where you would like your item to be delivered. Ensure that you or someone else is available to accept the delivery at this address.

The “CONTINUE” button will take you to the next step.

STEP 3:

Review your order and once you feel confident that all entered information is correct click the “COMPLETE ORDER”.

STEP 4:

Your order will then be reviewed and a courier company will be booked.
When the service is arranged, you will receive a booking confirmation via e-mail, containing the final, confirmed data about the shipping of your package.

You and the finder of your item will be informed on which date and during which time frame you can expect the package to be collected (on work days, that is usually sometime between 9:00 and 18:00). If you would like to set a specific package collection time, we can provide you with a local phone number to arrange the details with the courier.

Tracking and receiving your parcel

Yes, for every package sent, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing the tracking number.

Before the pickup takes place, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all of the details concerning your order.

Estimated delivery time is the time frame when the package will be delivered. Although not common, your package can arrive at its destination either before or after the estimated delivery time.

The tracking system gets updated every time your parcel is scanned at a new depot or location. If the system displays the same message for a few days, it could be due to delays in updating the system.

If the status in the tracking system remains the same for more than 48 hours, you will need to contact the courier direct.

Useful advice:

Make sure that the pick-up location is easily accessible and there are no maintenance works in the area.

If your collection didn’t happen on the chosen date, check the tracking status to see if there is an update regarding any issue that might have occurred. In this case, please contact the courier.

Delays in the delivery of the shipment can occur due to external factors such as weather and traffic conditions. If you are experiencing a delay in the delivery of your parcel, please contact the courier company.

It is possible to get your item picked up at a hotel.

When booking the courier service, you will need to write the hotel’s name in the “Name” field. Then, write the sender’s own name.

You could also include “reception” after the hotel name. In this way, the courier driver will know that the parcel was left at the reception desk.

Yes you can book the shipping service with the pick-up at an airport.
This is possible provided the place of collection is easily identified and the driver is able to park his truck within 25 meters of the indicated delivery point.

The collection point should be an accessible area, preferably away from crowded parts of the building and of course, it cannot be beyond the threshold of airport security.

The courier drivers have pre-planned routes that work to a fixed time schedule, for this reason, a collection point with clear signage that’s easy to find will mean an efficient and successful pick-up.

Collections and deliveries from and to remote areas are done on certain days of the week. This happens because these places are not close to couriers’ local depots, so the couriers usually cannot offer the service on a daily basis.

We recommend you check directly with the courier for details regarding the days scheduled for collections and deliveries in a remote area.

When arranging shipments from multiple-unit addresses or a gated community, it is advised to define the collection or pick-up point as the main area of the address and/or provide additional information to the courier necessary for completing the collection or delivery.

In the case of a gated community, you should communicate an appropriate doorbell or buzzer number to the courier. If not, he may leave the parcel at the door or with the guard.

In the case of multiple-unit addresses, like dormitories or hostels, it is advised that the person making the order suggests a central or easily accessible point as the place for collection. This could be the reception, front desk or main door.

The selected courier service providers usually deliver shipments within a specific timeframe, which is from 9:00 until 18:00 from Monday to Friday.

In some cases, mostly in peak seasons, the courier might arrive before or after this time frame.

We understand how important it is for you to get a more specific time for the collection. This is why, in some cases, we can provide you the selected courier provider’s number so you can contact them directly and get a narrower timeframe for pick-up or delivery.
